Mr. Lawrence Ting was a visionary, a pioneer, a leader and a great mentor for myself and for a lot of people that have known and worked with Mr. Ting.

　　Mr. Ting always thinks and has reminded us how we can provide a best solution and the most sufficient way to carry out any objective. I have had the honor and opportunity to work under Mr. Ting's direction for more than 10 years with the Saigon South Development Project. He has advised many times and redirected my vision and goals as an architect and an urban designer. 

　　He is able to foresee the future and create a new environment, living standard and townscape that had and still touch many lives in Vietnam and also create many job opportunity for that has had a tremendous contribution to the economy of Ho Chi Minh City. He also emphasizes on the architectural design should always be based on the living habit and culture of Vietnam. ”The Saigon South Development Project is for the people of Vietnam and for its future generation”.

　　Mr. Ting will not be missed because his guiding light that will still always shine through and his vision continues as myself and many of us whom had known Mr. Ting will carry out his goal.
