Our merciful Lord Jesus, thank Thee for dying on the cross that teach all of us who are Thy followers to live our lives with dignity and honor, and to face death dignified and honorably; may Thy own example be followed by us and the future generations.

Dear Jesus, thank Thee for Thy teaching that Thou had come to this world to die for us so that we may have an abundant life. My Lord, we see Thy footprints in every green pastures and creek in our path of life, as well as in the desolate wilderness we have to pass. Thou even extend Thy hands holding every person Thou have saved to walk through the valley of death so as to lead us to enter eternity.

Lord, we are here today not to bid last farewell to our Brother Lawrence ; but to say goodbye. O Lord, we firmly believe that one day when we stand before Thee for the righteous judgment, we shall meet each other again. Lord, at that time, we know that all the good and evil of mankind shall be revealed before Thee. Lord, we await for that day to come.

At this time, we ask the comfort of the Holy Spirit be with the family of Brother Lawrence and all of his beloved friends. Lord, we know that it is a sad truth that we have lost him; but through Thy love, we firmly believe that Thou will gradually transform all our pains and agonies to sweet memories we have for Brother Lawrence. Lord, help us please.
